About Alexandre Castanheira
Alexandre Castanheira began meditation’s practice as a teenager through Taisen Deshimaru’s books. In 2011, after engaging in an 8-week course in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, he decided to train as a Mindfulness-Based Intervention teacher. Since then, he has practiced meditation with different teachers in Europe (e.g., Martin Aylward) and Insight Dialogue mainly with Anne Michel, Phyllis Hicks and Florence Meleo-Meyer. Currently, Alexandre teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, since 2014, and Interpersonal Mindfulness, since 2015. He also facilitates monthly Insight Dialogue group practice in French, with Sandrine Rauter and a participant in the 2021-2022 Insight Dialogue Teacher Development Cohort. Deeply committed about supporting people finding new and wholesome ways to relate to life circumstances, to live and act together, Alexandre brings meditation and Social-Emotional Learning in schools, youth and non-profit organization contexts.
