Email us about program

Vesak Day commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha. Because of our wide range of practitioners and when Vesak might be celebrated, there are two offerings: May 5 and June 2.  As a community, we invite practitioners to cultivate the qualities of compassion, peace and goodwill that are found in the Buddha’s teachings through various activities such as meditation, Dharma talks, and contemplation practice.  Let us reflect on the Buddha’s life and teachings, and their relevance to our lives today.

As we celebrate Vesak Day, let us remember that the Buddha’s teachings are not just for our own benefit, but for the benefit of all beings and the potential that we all have on the path to liberation. May this be inspire us to recommit to the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha. May the spirit of Vesak Day inspire us to live in harmony with others and to work towards the greater good of all beings.

Practice opportunities related to Vesak Celebration will be updated and posted here.
